Years ago the broad circular place that was the town site of Angaston was called Kurianda by the Indigenous Permangi people of the area. Nowadays, scattered through this same country are feral olive trees which have grown of their own accord, spread by the birds and the elements. This fruit from these wild trees has been handpicked and carefully milled to give up the “juice of the olive” which is settled and racked to the bottle. The oil is best treated as a condiment to add unique aroma, texture and flavour to anything from braised fennel to just baked bread.
